Preface
The Epistle Of James is one of my favorite books of the Bible! I like it because it is so practical! It is believed by many Bible scholars to be the earliest of all the books of the New Testament. The theme is "The Marks of a Mature Christian." Spiritual maturity is manifested in many areas of a Christian's life - how he or she handles trials and temptations; how he/she treats others; how well he/she controls his/her tongue; how he handles conflict; how wise is she; how he handles money; how patient is she. These are the very topics in this book. James wants us to know that though we are saved by faith alone, saving faith is never alone. Genuine faith is dynamic. It is always accompanied by works. I hope that every person who studies these lessons will have a "Faith That Works!"
